Refund Policy

Clear rules for cancellations, refunds and non-refundable charges.

This Refund Policy explains when ClariCase plan fees, add-on charges and service payments may or may not be refundable.

Policy Section

1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies to ClariCase yearly plans, add-on services, platform fees, concierge support fees, coordination fees and other charges collected by ClariCase.

This Policy does not apply to lawyer fees, court fees, government charges, filing fees, drafting fees, stamp duty, notary charges, registry charges, travel expenses, courier charges, expert fees, translation fees or any third-party charges unless ClariCase expressly agrees in writing.

Policy Section

2. Core Principle

ClariCase fees compensate the platform for onboarding, operational setup, lawyer matching support, coordinator effort, document organization, support workflows, dashboard activation, communication management, billing work and administrative resources.

Once services are activated or work begins, refund eligibility may reduce because time, resources, access and coordination efforts have already been deployed.

Policy Section

3. Plan Activation

A plan may be treated as activated when any of the following happens: payment confirmation, onboarding review begins, dashboard setup begins, a Relationship Manager or coordinator is assigned, lawyer matching begins, document upload or review workflow begins, support communication starts, consultation coordination begins, reminders are configured or plan benefits are made available.

After activation, refunds may be denied or reduced based on the services already delivered, time elapsed, operational cost incurred and applicable terms.

Policy Section

4. Refund Eligibility Before Activation

If a user pays for a plan but no onboarding, matching, dashboard setup, coordination, document handling, support communication or other service activity has begun, ClariCase may consider a refund request subject to payment gateway charges, taxes, administrative charges and verification.

Refund requests must be raised within [Insert number] days from payment, unless a different period is shown in the plan terms.

Policy Section

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may not be available where: onboarding has started, lawyer matching has started, coordinator has been assigned, dashboard access has been activated, documents have been uploaded or organized, reminders have been configured, support has been delivered, add-on service has begun, consultation coordination has been attempted, or the user has used any plan benefit.

Refunds may also be denied for user non-response, incorrect information provided by user, change of mind after service activation, dissatisfaction with legal outcome, lawyer decision, court delay, opposing party action, user choosing another lawyer, user failing to upload documents, user failing to attend calls, or user breach of Terms.

No refund is available for completed services, consumed add-ons, downloaded templates, completed legal health audits, completed document review coordination, completed emergency support coordination or completed consultation coordination.

Policy Section

6. Lawyer Fees and Third-Party Charges

Lawyer fees are separate from ClariCase plan fees unless expressly included in writing. Any refund of lawyer fees depends on the engagement terms between the user and the independent lawyer.

ClariCase is not responsible for refunding amounts paid directly to lawyers or third parties.

Court fees, government fees, filing charges, stamp duty, notarization, translation, courier, travel and other third-party expenses are generally non-refundable once paid or incurred.

Policy Section

7. Taxes and Gateway Charges

Taxes may be non-refundable once remitted or where applicable law does not permit refund.

Payment gateway charges, bank charges, platform transaction costs, currency conversion charges and administrative costs may be deducted from approved refunds.

Policy Section

8. Add-On Services

Add-ons may include Legal Health Audit, Document Templates Library, Compliance and Expiry Alerts, Quick Legal Queries, SOS Support, Priority Document Review, Digital Legal Vault, Expiry Tracker and other services.

Add-on fees may be non-refundable once access is provided, work starts, templates are delivered, alerts are configured, documents are reviewed or support is initiated.

If an add-on cannot be delivered due to reasons within ClariCase control, ClariCase may offer rescheduling, credit, replacement service or refund at its discretion.

Policy Section

9. Upgrade, Downgrade and Renewal

Users may request plan upgrades subject to payment of the applicable difference. Upgrade charges are generally non-refundable once upgraded benefits are activated.

Downgrades may apply from the next renewal period unless ClariCase expressly approves otherwise.

Renewal payments may be refunded only if no renewed service benefit has been activated and the request is raised within the permitted period.

Policy Section

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Users should contact ClariCase before raising a chargeback. Unauthorized or incorrect chargebacks may result in account suspension, recovery action, withdrawal of support and restriction of future access.

ClariCase may submit invoices, logs, onboarding records, communication records and service activation evidence to payment processors, banks or authorities to contest chargebacks.

Policy Section

11. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, email [Insert refund email] with name, registered mobile number, registered email, payment receipt, transaction ID, plan name, date of payment and reason for refund.

ClariCase may request additional information for verification. Failure to provide details may delay or prevent processing.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method or another approved method within [Insert number] business days, subject to banking and gateway timelines.

Policy Section

13. Discretionary Credits

ClariCase may, at its discretion and without admitting liability, offer service credits, partial credits, rescheduling, alternative support, extension of support or goodwill adjustments.

Any discretionary credit does not create a precedent or right for future claims.

Policy Section

14. Changes to this Policy

ClariCase may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time of purchase or renewal may apply unless changes are required by law or are more favorable to the user.
